The Intersection of Tech & Nature

I am a student at Rutgers New Brunswick with a deep fascination for how we can use technology to better understand the world around us. Currently, my academic and professional focus is on Deep Learning and Computer Vision. I believe the most interesting problems exist at the intersection of different fields. For example, I've been working on a project using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in Python to automate plant species identification. It's one thing to build a model, but it's another to apply it to something as complex and organic as botany bridging the gap between "Plants & People" through code.

Why I Build

When I first started this website, I viewed it as a simple task. I quickly realized that even "simple" projects require a balance of logic, design, and persistence. Whether I'm optimizing a model in PyTorch or fine tuning the CSS for this site, I'm driven by the "keep moving" philosophy. I enjoy the process of taking a super complicated algorithm and turning it into a tool that is intuitive and useful.

Beyond the Screen

While a large part of my life is spent in terminal windows and IDEs, I make sure to step away from the desk to stay balanced:

  • Exploring Digital Worlds: I’m an avid gamer, particularly fond of the Assassin’s Creed series because I am fascinated by historical storytelling and large scale world building.
  • Botany & Environment: My interest in plants isn't just academic; understanding the natural world gives perspective when solving abstract digital problems.
  • Constant Learning: I enjoy researching topics like personal finance, machine learning, and practical skills to keep improving.
